Councillor Stephen Cooksey, Leader of Mole Valley District Council, said:
“While Surrey’s COVID rate does seem to be stabilising, it is still too high and well above the overall rate in the South East. With the weather turning ever cooler and winter bugs that little bit more common, it is really important that everyone plays their part and does some basic simple things; all of which will be very familiar: If you’re inside, let fresh air in or consider meeting outside; wear a face covering in crowded spaces or on transport; test at least twice a week and isolate if required; stay at home if you are unwell; continue to use the NHS COVID-19 app; and get vaccinated – all children aged 12 to 15 are being offered their first dose.
