Councillor Stephen Cooksey, Leader of Mole Valley District Council, said: “New rules have come into effect in England meaning that anyone who has received both doses of the vaccine, or is under 18 years old, is no longer legally required to self-isolate if they are identified as having come in to close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 by NHS Test and Trace. Instead, anyone meeting this criteria who has been ‘pinged’ is being advised to take a PCR home test. You can order a test online, calling 119 or by going to a test site. This is part of Step 4 in the government’s roadmap out of lockdown.
