“I have no doubt that those of you following our district’s coronavirus case figures will be feeling very hopeful as case numbers continue to fall. This is great news indeed for all residents and for businesses as we hope to return to some normality over the coming months. Well done to everyone. We are all dealing with different challenges due to this pandemic, but our collective action of staying at home at this time is making a huge difference. 

“Please keep following the rules so that once we emerge from this current lockdown, we can avoid any return to the high level of restrictions we have all been living with.

“The vaccines are going out at a tremendous pace, anyone aged 70 or over who has not been vaccinated, is now advised to contact the NHS to request their vaccination. There are numerous ways of doing this in Mole Valley, the first being by going online to www.nhs.uk/covid-vaccination. That system allows patients to choose a time slot and location that suits them.  Anyone unable to book online can call 119 free of charge, anytime between 7am and 11pm seven days a week to book up.  If a suitable and convenient slot is not available, people can also call their GP practice.
