Councillor Stephen Cooksey, Leader of Mole Valley District Council, said: “It was confirmed this past weekend that almost 7.9million of the most vulnerable people in the UK, and those who care for them had received their first vaccine dose by the end of last month. The vaccination programme continues at pace in Surrey and the infection figuresacross the county are still falling.
“This is without doubt encouraging news and, while the fight is truly being taken to COVID-19, I must urge a sense of caution. With the current Surge Testing going on in other parts of Surrey, all residents must all continue to stay at home and observe the lockdown regulations, only leaving the house for essential shopping, appointments and if they cannot work from home.”
