In recognition of the ongoing hard work of staff during the pandemic, the Leader announced a gift of an additional day off work for all staff. SLT has agreed that this will be used at Christmas on 29th December. This will enable the MVDC offices to close from 16.00 on Christmas Eve and reopen on Wednesday 30th December. If you work in an essential service that requires you to work on 29th December or you work part-time and do not work on this date, you will be able to take the day another time as agreed with your manager.
This means that this year you won’t have to use any of your annual leave allowance to cover our Christmas closure unless you choose to book some additional leave.

Thursday 24th December – Open but phone lines, office and reception (If relevant) close at 4pm
Friday 25th December – closed (Bank Holiday)
Monday 28th December – closed (Bank Holiday)
Tuesday 29th December – Closed (Gifted Day)
Wednesday 30th December – Open but phone lines, office and reception (If relevant) close at 4pm
Thursday 31st December – Open but phone lines, office and reception (If relevant) close at 4pm
