Safeguarding Training

The level of Safeguarding training required for your role will be dependent on the interaction you have with Children or Vulnerable Adults as part of your required duties.

All staff are required to complete basic safeguarding training and for this training to be refreshed every 2 years. Where more advanced training is required this will be discussed with you as part of your 121 and development discussions and you will be booked to complete the necessary training accordingly. If you are in any doubt about the level of safeguarding training you require for your role, please speak with your line manager.

All D&B’s safeguarding leads and staff can access the training from the Surrey Children’s Services Academy (SCSA) and Surrey Safeguarding Adults Board (SSAB). All courses are free of charge
