Time to Talk

These are unusual times for everyone but feeling overwhelmed or out of control from time to time is not. Talking to someone can help you to find ways to identify and deal with your concerns. If you are worried about your mental health here is some information about key contacts that may be of use:

Employee Assistance Service

EAP is a service that is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Please see here for more details.

Our EAP service regularly release tips and webinars which may be worth checking. See here for a collection of places to look for Quarantine Resources and here for some tips on reducing anxiety during this time.

Mental Health First Aiders

Mental Health First Aiders are our own members of staff who have enhanced listening skills, and although not counsellors, can confidentially signpost you to get help.  Whilst medical services are so busy, there are many things you may be able to do on-line or they may encourage you to talk through general wellbeing.  Sleep, diet, exercise and social connections are all recognised to positively influence mental health.

Whilst we are all working remotely please email the Mental Health First Aider you would like to talk to.  He/she will then email you back to set up a virtual call, or suggest you contact another First Aider if unable to help for any reason.  Please do not email more than one person unless/until you get an out of office, or an email from them saying you should approach somebody else, as this will cause confusion and duplication.

Please see our updated Policy
