Army Reservists & Adult Cadet Volunteers

Additional paid leave of two week’s per year can be granted to Reservists or Adult Cadet volunteers specifically to enable them to attend their annual camp. Unpaid leave of up to 3 days per year will be granted for short periods of training provided adequate notice is given and where such training cannot be undertaken at any other time.

Where a Reservist is called into full time service with the Regular Forces a period of mobilisation for the employee will be required. It is important that managers of Reservists familiarise themselves with the Reservist Mobilisation Guidance below, discussed requirements of their employee as a Reservist and set a plan should the employee be mobilised.
