At the most recent Staff Hub meeting we discussed a range of topics:

Health and Safety – Staff Hub have a role as the H&S committee for the Council.  This week we looked at H&S Training which has moved to the new GO1 platform.  There will be no further classroom based training (with the exception of Manual handling).  Managers will be responsible for checking if any compulsory training is required within their teams and spot checks will be carried out to ensure staff are getting all the training they need.

Learning and Development and Wellbeing – we discussed the launch of the new training platforms and how continuous learning supports mental health and wellbeing.

Break out areas at Pippbrook – we have teamed up with the property team to re-vamp the staff breakout areas at Pippbrook.  Up on the roof one of the picnic tables has already been restored by the Dorking charity Men’s Shed and the other is being worked on and will be back soon. The drum with the comfy seats has been designated a quiet area for staff between 12 – 2pm. Watch this space for more updates on the kitchen area and vending machine. 

Staff social events – we are hoping to arrange something a bit different for the summer. Keep an eye on Molly to see what’s coming…..
