“A special team within the benefits service have been busy processing the Covid Test and Trace Isolation Payment scheme. Over the past couple of months volume of claims have increased significantly as national levels of positive cases has been so high.
This week we received three separate thank you emails from successful applicants.
The scheme is designed to help people suffering financial hardship as they are unable to work and get paid during their isolation period.
It is a credit to the hard work of Sam Cook, Dave Greenough and June Gravett that they have managed to process claims and get payments out in a matter of days, despite balancing the increased pressures and complexity of the scheme, all within their existing work.
