Importance of social contact:  studies continue to show that social contact continues to be more important than ever.

Lockdown mental fatigue is rapidly reversed by social contact, study finds.  This study demonstrates people bounce back from their mental sluggishness soon after emerging from isolation.

Staying in contact with colleagues, family and friends is time well spent.  Where you can’t meet in person, technology such as Teams comes into its own. It makes a real difference to be able to see people when you are each talking.

We encourage you to continue to have your regular 1-2-1s and team meetings, and maybe plan some impromptu catch ups too?

Finally – at this time of year – many of you will be seeing PDRs put in your diary.  It is a good idea to plan how you wish to use this valuable uninterrupted time with your manager.

See here for more information about the study.
