The onset of the Omicron variant has led to, and is continuing to cause, a shortage of staff from train drivers and guards to engineers and controllers. These staff shortages have inevitably had a significant impact on services, leading to short term cancellations.
As a result, there will be a new timetable from Monday 17 January 2022, that is reliable and caters for key workers and students who are unable to work from home.
From the beginning of January through to the introduction of the new timetable on 17 January, train services will still unfortunately be subject to short notice cancellations or alterations. Check to see if your planned train is running as close to your time of travel as possible.
