We invite you to join us at Pippbrook on Tuesday, 26th September, for our Continuous Improvement Training Event. This training session will be run by continuous improvement colleagues from DEFRA, who will bring their experience to deliver an engaging and enlightening learning session. During the 2.5 hours session, we will delve into various topics on Continuous Improvement (CI), including:

- CI and its key role in EVOLVE 2026
- Training sessions on CI concepts:
- Investigation
- Effectiveness vs Demand
- Failure Demand
- Non-value-added Activities
- Process Blockages
- Systems Thinking
- An introduction to CI Tools and Techniques
- Practical learning activities
- Real case examples (DEFRA and MVDC)
- The value of our new MVDC CI Forum and CI Champions
The primary objective of this event is to learn something new, reflect on our individual roles in making change happen – highlighting the significance of continuous improvement practices in promoting collaboration, innovation, and a culture of excellence by involving team members in design and decision-making.
These two CI training sessions are open to all staff on Tuesday, September 26th, at the following times, either:
Morning, 9.30-12pm – in person
Afternoon, 2-4.30pm – in person
Both sessions cover the same content, so choose the one that best fits your schedule. Further details regarding specific location will be shared nearer to the date.
Please make sure you book onto a session. This will help us determine the number of participants and make sure we book the right sized room for our audience!
