Solar Together: Solar Panel Buying Scheme – Register by 11 August!

Solar Together

Save on your energy bill and contribute to a greener, more sustainable future for Surrey by having your own solar panels.

As part of a group-buying scheme, Surrey residents are now able to come together to invest in renewables for solar panels and battery storage, confident in the knowledge that they are paying the right price for a high-quality installation from pre-approved installers.

Solar Together helps you through the process, keeping you informed at every stage.

Installations will generally not need planning permission. However in some cases, such as in Conservation Areas and on Listed Buildings, planning permission may be required.

If you already have solar panels installed, you can also register to have battery storage added to your existing solar panels to maximise the benefits of your system.

How does it work?

  1. Register without obligation: by 11 August via www.solartogether.co.uk/surrey
  2. Auction: Approved solar installers will bid for the work in a reverse ‘auction’. The most competitive offer, from these pre-vetted installers, wins the auction
  3. Personal recommendation: you will be emailed a personal recommendation for your home based on the details you provided during registration. This will include the costs and specifications for a complete solar panel installation
  4. You decide: the decision is then yours as to whether you want to accept your recommendation. There is no obligation to continue. You will have four weeks to decide
  5. Installation: if you accept, the winning installer will contact you to survey your roof and set an installation date

All installations are planned to be completes six months after accepting.
