Yesterday there was a security issue in Housing in which a member of staff (unclear if ASC or MVDC) let a member of the public through the staff entrance and brought them up to the Housing desks.
This person was expected for a housing appointment, however the process for attendance at such interviews outside reception hours is that they come to main reception where they will be given access by housing staff to the secure interview rooms.
Please can we remind all staff that they should not be allowing members of the public access through the staff entrance and into the office. Not only does this compromise staff safety, but there are confidential documents on peoples desks which should not be seen by the public.
