Helen Wilson was nominated by a member of staff who said “I am nominating Helen for a Shine Award in recognition for the extra effort she has put administering the Community Capacity Building and Infrastructure Support Grant Scheme, including responding to 33 expressions of interest, assessing 11 applications and drafting the report in preparation for their approval.
Because of the timings set by Central Government for the use of the fund, this had to be done in a tight time window.
Helen has delivered on this project in addition to her usual workload, working extra hours and managing the expectations of the applicants helpfully and with good humour, while remaining calm and professional throughout.
This is typical of Helen’s approach, which is why she is such a valuable member of the team and of the Council, and why she would be thoroughly deserving of this award”
