Casual Community Responders Wanted!

At this month’s staff briefing Stuart Cole gave an update on Mole Valley Life’s fantastic new Wellbeing & Community Responder service. Assisting our most vulnerable residents in East Surrey, the Community Responder team respond to lifeline alarm alerts received by our Alarm Receiving Centre which indicate non-medical support is required. Quite often a resident will slip and not hurt themselves but won’t have the strength to lift themselves back up. This is where the team can come in and use specialised lifting equipment to aid residents back to their feet.

We are looking for a couple of Casual Community Responders who would be available on an ad hoc basis at weekends and evenings to support our team. Specialist training, equipment and vehicle will be provided. Pay is £9.50 per hour during training, rising to £10 per hour once trained.

If you know someone who would be keen to join our team, help our community and earn some extra income this winter, then please contact Deborah Addison on Deborah.addison@molevalley.gov.uk or 07834 482291 for more details.
