Users and visitors of the Dorking’s car park will soon benefit from £375k improvements including new surface, relining, handrails and drainage. Enabling works will also take place in preparation to fit Electric Vehicle Charging Points. The project will start next week.
In order to reduce any disruption, the car park will remain open during the renovation period, which is scheduled to be complete in early October 2022.
Up to 25% of parking spaces might not be available for use during the works, and traffic management will be in place. Sections of the car park will be closed off in advance and car park users are asked not to park their vehicles in the designated section the evening before the works are due to take place.
The nearest alternative parking is in St Martin’s Walk, accessible from Mill Lane; more information on available car parks can be found on MVDC website under www.molevalley.gov.uk/carparking.
