Since the UK GDPR was introduced we have successfully implemented a number of measures to ensure we are protecting the personal data we hold about our residents and service users. But don’t forget those measures extend to the personal data of colleagues too….
As an employer we are committed to our core values that make MVDC a great place to work. Everyone should feel they can confide safely in their manager or colleagues so we need to be mindful and avoid situations where personal information is shared inadvertently or inappropriately.
In line with the second principle of the UK GDPR the basic position is that any information collected is not used for some other purpose. If in doubt please check with the individual concerned before sharing any information about them with others.
This will be a topic of discussion at the next BMT meeting and then all teams will have the opportunity to add it as an agenda item at their own meetings.
