Our Platinum Jubilee Celebration in Meadowbank Park, Thurs 2nd June, 10.30am-4.30pm
We are running an event in Meadowbank Park to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and asking for help from staff who would be willing to give some of their time on the first day of the four day bank holiday weekend in May.
Staff are being offered £22 p/hr to help and wouldn’t necessarily be needed for the whole day. You will be supported by our Jubilee Events Team and hired marshals.
You would mainly be helping with sports day activities such as egg and spoon race, as well as various crafts activities and a fancy dress competition.
There will also be crazy golf, skateboarding and scootering sessions, a football activity as well as archery. These activities will be staffed by external marshals.
There will be stalls run by our local businesses as well as live entertainment throughout the day, not to mention a community picnic area. It will be a fun-filled celebratory day!
