All Staff – please log out 1.15 to 2.15 Monday 11th April

We are experiencing network issues in Pippbrook which are impacting a number of our colleagues currently in the building (although not those working from home).

To attempt to resolve these ICT will need to restart a number of network components between 13.15 and 13.45. We require all colleagues – including those working from home – to be completely logged out of all applications, and their MVDC laptops, and the laptops completely shut down, between 13.15 and 13.45 today. If colleagues are still logged into applications at this time it will create a risk of data corruption which could be very difficult to resolve.

This does mean that colleagues will be unable to carry out Teams calls from their MVDC laptops during this time (but will be able to do so, and access Microsoft Office applications, from a mobile phone or if signed in to Microsoft 365 on their own device).

Karen has asked that when the work has completed that colleagues be advised by email (which you can check on a personal device if you have the ability to do this) or be contacted by one of their members.   

My apologies for the inconvenience this will undoubtedly cause. We have attempted to resolve this issue without taking this step, but it has become apparent that it is a necessary measure.
