UK GDPR – Keeping Personal Data Secure: Electronic Reminder:

There are a number of measures in place to prevent electronic data breaches occurring.  Please see below for a reminder of the actions that we all can take to protect the privacy of our residents and customers:

  • Don’t share passwords – All staff have their own separate log-ins and passwords. You should never share your passwords with each other. This increases the risk of an unauthorised person seeing or reading personal data.
  • Close your messages when screen sharing or presenting online – If you’re doing an online presentation to a group of people, the last thing you want is for a personal message or email to pop up. Close your emails and messaging services before sharing your screen with others.
  • Lock your screen when you’re away from your desk – Please remember to lock your screen when away from your desk. This helps prevent others from seeing information they’re not authorised to see.
