Internal Servicedesk Launch – Monday 5th July

ICT have been busy working on revamping the Servicedesk having taken valuable feedback from a selection of staff across the authority. 

The new design takes into account everything from having a cleaner feel, making it easier to find and log calls, and less technical terminology. This will go live on Monday 5th July and will include a new HR Servicedesk

The HR Servicedesk has been process mapped over the last 18 months by the HR team focusing on the transactional elements of HR (starters, leavers and contract changes).  These processes have links with the ICT service therefore both teams have worked together to develop a number of joint processes which will be found on the HR Servicedesk.

This will enable managers to log their starters, leavers or contract changes with workflows in the system notifying the relevant service with the required information. 

This is Phase One of the HR Servicedesk and will only be relevant for managers.  Future phases of the HR Servicedesk will incorporate process improvements for other staff to use.
