Use Of Car Parking Permits

Remember that parking restrictions apply to members of staff in the same way that they do to our residents.

All employees are allowed to park in MVDC car parks when on official council business, without purchasing a Pay and Display ticket, by registering for a Staff Permit via RingGo.

Remember that parking restrictions apply to members of staff in the same way that they do to our residents and a Pay and Display ticket will need to be purchased for car parks when you are not on council business.

Other points to remember:

  • if the Pippbrook car park is full you can park across the road in the Reigate Road car park (or other Dorking car parks)
  • do not park on double yellow lines, in contravention of the rules on single yellow lines or in a bus stop (you will risk getting a Penalty Charge Notice)
  • if you do receive a Penalty Charge Notice and you would like to appeal it, then you will need to do so in writing. Please do not approach a member of the Parking Team directly.
  • if you are going for a swim or to the gym at Dorking Sports Centre before work you should park at Pippbrook (unless full) and cross the road
  • do not leave your car in the staff car park whilst going on holiday for any length of time

We know that people work every weekend at Park House and some weekends at Pippbrook. Unless you are working, if you park your car in the car park you will need to buy a Pay and Display ticket. If managers can advise the Parking Team that there will be people at the weekend in Pippbrook then that would be helpful.

If anybody has any queries on the use of parking permits – please get in touch with the parking team parking@molevalley.gov.uk.
