Mole Valley District Council’s (MVDC) Scrutiny and Cabinet will be asked to give consideration at meetings held on 25 January and 2 February 2021 respectively to approve the allocation of funding to further progress plans to redevelop underused MVDC-owned land in Dorking.

Councillor Keira Vyvyan-Robinson, MVDC’s Cabinet Member for Projects, said: “The site being considered for redevelopment is land that we own in the heart of Dorking’s Museum Quarter and Conservation Area, adjacent to the town’s museum. At this moment in time, the Foundry and Church Street Workshops currently consists of a number of underused light industrial units, many of which, given the state of disrepair, are at risk of remaining vacant for the foreseeable future.
