Volunteering Opportunity To Be Part Of Vaccine Delivery Programme

Stewards, administrators and drivers wanted.

If you would like to be part of the vaccine delivery programme and have skills you can offer in your spare time, the NHS in Surrey needs you!

This will be the biggest immunisation programme of our time and is a critical part of the battle to tackle coronavirus.

If you take part you will help deliver an effective vaccination programme across the county.

There are a range of clinical and non-clinical roles, with voluntary opportunities for stewards, administrators and drivers.

For some roles no previous experience is necessary, however as would be expected, of particular interest are any staff who remain clinically qualified to triage and draw up vaccine but may have moved into new roles.

Full training will be provided for all volunteers

As part of the vaccine programme, you could be asked to help at either an existing NHS estate or temporary standalone service within a local community.

Extensive preparations will ensure people across Surrey can access a vaccine, regardless of where they live, once it has undergone strict clinical trials and is approved for use by the independent regulator.

If you are interested in supporting as a volunteer, please complete the Vaccine Delivery Questionnaire and return it to:  syheartlandsccg.shcwf@nhs.net.

You can then expect to be:

• Contacted by the Surrey Heartlands ICS vaccine workforce team to discuss your specific areas of interest/experience and match these with available roles
• Enrolled onto our temporary COVID-19 vaccine workforce or volunteer bank
• Receive appropriate training and equipment in order for you to fulfil the role

By signing up, you will help to deliver a vaccination programme to help fight against the pandemic.

We would be very interested to hear if any of our staff make contact and what the response is – and if you actually become involved please share your stories. Contact Kate Ivackovic (kate.ivackovic@molevalley.gov.uk) for a discussion about what we can learn from your experience.
