Councillor Stephen Cooksey, Leader of Mole Valley District Council, said: “Mole Valley has now entered into the High Alert Tier 2 local restrictions, along with every other area in Surrey. It is imperative we continue to remain vigilant and ensure infection levels do not rise again. At times like this, we must look towards the positives. The fact businesses on the high street and in rural areas – including many in the hospitality sector – can reopen is something to be celebrated, and taken advantage of. The government has also given a boost to traders in the lead up to Christmas and the New Year by providing the opportunity for shops to extend their opening hours Monday to Saturday.
