Please make sure you make sufficient plans to take your annual leave this year. As previously notified (Staff Q&As – Q45), this year the normal carry forward allowance of 5 days applies – (pro rata’d for part timers).
If you are one of the small number of people who has more to take than normal because the sudden impact of Covid in March prevented you from using your leave, and you used the amendments to Working Time Regulations announced on 27th March to facilitate additional leave carry forward to this year, it will be particularly important to plan your absence in advance and in discussion with your manager.
It is really important to ensure you use your leave to take a break from work for wellbeing reasons, even if it is not yet possible to use it to travel.
Any leave unused by the end of March, and in excess of carry forward limits, will be lost.
