Following the announcement of the five day Christmas travel period, we thought it would be helpful to let you know about the Christmas and New Year services.
Services will run normally on 23 December. On Christmas Eve late afternoon and evening services will be amended to prepare for our usual closure on Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Heathrow Express trains will run on Boxing Day.
There are no planned closures of London Paddington station, and services to London will operate normally throughout.
On the North Downs Line, rail improvement work around Gatwick Airport will mean the line is closed between Redhill and Gatwick Airport from Sunday 27 December to Sunday 3 January. This does not affect other train operator’s services which will continue to operate between Redhill and Gatwick Airport.
It is also worth noting that there is rail improvement work between London Waterloo and Clapham Junction which will affect South Western Railway services.
