GDPR Implementation

As you will be aware, the new data protection regulations will come into force from Friday 25 May 2018. The new legislation will bring about changes for us all as employees of the Council, regarding how we handle data (about either those to whom we provide our services, or each other), how long we retain that data, how your data is handled as an employee and what our residents’ rights are concerning the data we hold about them.

We have updated a number of our policies to reflect the changes coming into effect. It is essential that everyone who works for the Council, in whatever capacity, has read and confirmed that you understand and will adhere to what is set out in those policies, in addition to confirming you have completed the mandatory Learning Pool GDPR training (Data Protection Essentials).
