At Staff Hub last week we discussed a range of topics:
Health and Safety – Staff Hub have a role as the H&S committee for MVDC. Bi-annual DSE training is now on Go1 and you will be sent a reminder when you are due to complete it. There will be a standalone self-assessment to complete on Molly. Don’t forget to have H&S on your team meeting agendas and to report “near misses” here: Report a Near Miss.
Evolve 2026 – this week we discussed how important it is that staff are involved in the transformation, and that every idea matters. There will also be opportunities for our wellbeing and climate change aspirations to feed in to Evolve 2026.
Volunteering Days – don’t forget the Volunteering Scheme allows you to take up to two days per year (subject to management approval). This is a good opportunity for teambuilding and great for your own wellbeing, while supporting a local cause at the same time.
Staff social events – we have the go ahead for a staff BBQ (date tbc), and the Box Office Staff at Dorking Halls can secure best prices for group bookings for staff nights out!!
